This wonderful Russian 84 silver & cloisonné shaded enamel spoon was made c1908. The crown shaped finial is decorated in white yellow & shade blue enamel and the stem has two cloisonné enamel panels decorated in shaded blue on yellow enamel background these panels alternating with two by applied silver rope work panels. The stem and pear shaped bowl are gilded silver and the back of the bowl is decorated in shaded enamel floral cloisonnés of shaded pink, green & blue, the bowl being edged in solid blue enamel roundels.
The side of the stem is stamped with 84 zolotnik mark, the cyrilic assay mark which appears to be for 1899-1908 Ivana Sergeevicha Lebedkina (1899 - 1908) and an unidentified makers' mark.
